At Bayless Elementary in St. Louis, MS, special education teacher Therese Shain was surprised with Missouri's 2018-19 Milken Educator Award and $25,000. Missouri Department of Education Commissioner Dr. Margie Vandeven and First Lady Teresa Parson were in attendance while Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, announced the big surprise in front of the entire school.
