Southport Elementary School in Perry Township Schools, Indiana, was surprised as the 2016 recipient of the prestigious TAP Founder’s Award. The award, created and presented by National Institute for Excellence in Teaching Chairman and TAP Founder Lowell Milken, is given annually to one school for exceptional efforts to implement and represent the principles of TAP: The System for Teacher and Student Advancement.
